Collection of signed photographs, postcards, letters and clipped signatures of Hollywood actors and actresses from the silent era through to the classic era of the 1950s-60s, including three signed photocards of Jane Russell, Ava Gardner, Jean Simmons, two signed photographs of Vivian Blaine, Simone Silva, Valerie French, Silvana Mangano, Dusty Anderson, Gene Autry, Joe Besser, Betty Ross Clarke, Peggy Hyland, Justine Johnstone; typed letter signed ("Betty Grable") on personalised headed paper thanking the recipient for his kind words and explaining that she has 'no special plans at this time, except to sit around and wait for the Easter Bunny!', with original envelope pasted to upper margin of letter, glue and paper residue to verso, one page, 4to, 21 March 1967; program for the production of Hello, Dolly! shown at the Masonic Temple in Scranton, Philadelphia, signed and inscribed on the upper cover ("To John and Pat, with love and deep appreciation, always, Betty Grable"), glue and paper residue to verso, 8vo, [1967]; signature of Cary Grant pasted to mount with postcard of the actor; three 8 x 10 colour stills from the film Spartacus signed by Kirk Douglas; 8 x 10 colour still from Shenandoah signed by James Stewart; postcard signed in pencil by Laurence Olivier and Vivien Leigh, 10 x 12cm; postcard of the Gresham Hotel in Dublin signed in ink on verso by Ingrid Bergman, dated 1948; and others, c. 1930s-1960s (quantity)
