Christian Rugendas (1708-1781), was an artist, mezzotint engraver and the son of Georg Philipp Rugendas who was one of the most famous painters of battle scenes of the 18th century. The prints represent horsemen, soldiers, military and battle scenes, costumes, landscapes etc. Provenance Charles Chauncy.
