The daybooks list personal expenses and products, occasionally differentiating between debits and credits. Of interest is a plan for a stable and workroom and living quarters in one building and short genealogy of the Dow family at rear. Memorandum books record weather and work activities such as raising barns, thrashing oats, digging potatoes and especially coopering activity such as cutting and shaving staves, hunting timber for tubs, buckets, etc. Related papers including promissory notes, receipts, documents. An unusual collection from a very active cooper in 19th century Vermont. Lot Amendments Condition: Some general light wear and staining; overall very good. Item number: 186166
