A varied collection composed of items printed during the War of Independence, some on behalf of the provisional government or the IDF and some civilian, but related to the war and to the establishment of the State of Israel. The collection includes among other items, an issue of Yom HaMedina newspaper (fair condition); newspaper issues, pamphlets and periodicals from the time of the war; an IDF booklet on the subject of deciphering air photographs, August 1948; the judicial regulations of the IDF, 1948; issues of Kol Safed (May 1948, May 1949); regulations for a kosher Passover kitchen, IDF, March 1948; a typewritten document – suggestion of a budget for reinforcements in the Negev, the Upper Galilee and the rest of the country; a list of the weapons and ammunition which exist in Israeli settlements: an entrance ticket to the IDF parade on Independence Day 1949; correspondence concerning the operating of the Regent Movie House in the German Colony in Jerusalem; a single leaf of one of the Kibbutzim in Eretz Israel, with the penciled inscription, "Today… the State of Israel has been declared in the People's Council.
