The medal has a red and white cloth ribbon and a buckle with the inscription "Palestine 1936-39". • Three General Service medals for service in Palestine in the 1940s, with a portrait of King George VI. The medals have purple and green cloth ribbons and buckles with the inscription "Palestine 1945-1948" or "Palestine". • "General Service" medal for service in Palestine in the 1940s, with a portrait of King George VI. The medal has a red and white cloth ribbon and a buckle with the inscription "Palestine 1945-48". • Two small medals for service in Palestine in the 1940s (for non-formal occasions). With the inscription "Palestine" on the buckle. • Service Medal of the Order of Saint John. • Defence Medal. • Two General Service medals for service in the Near East, with portrait of Queen Elizabeth, cloth ribbons and buckles with the inscription "Near East". 16-17. Two French medals; one for service in World War I and the other from 1956 for service in the Middle East. Enclosed are two General Service medals for those who served in Palestine in the 1940s (with a portrait of King George), one with no ribbon and the other with no ribbon and no buckle.
