Isaac Mayer Dick, known by the name AMD (1814-1893), born in Vilnius, and Nachum Meir Schaikewitz, known as SMR (1849-1905), born in Nesvizh in Belaruss, both of the most prolific Yiddish writers and pioneers of Yiddish theater. AMD was known as a popular folklorist who wrote about life of Lithuanian Jews, and SMR was considered as his successor, a witty publicist, author of many novels and director of a theater group which performed his plays (alongside plays by other authors) throughout Lithuania. Twenty booklets, three volumes with thirteen booklets altogether and photocopiedissue of the paper "der Litvak" edited by SMR. About 23 volumes and booklets. Size and condition vary.
