A collection of antique prints and paintings to include; Two small paintings on rice paper of Chinese figures by an unknown artist, probably from the late 19th century, one with repairs to the reverse. Both full colour. A set of uncoloured copper engravings of Chinese scenes and people including Tunxo in the Province of Peking, an original copper engraving 1748, a Chinese Pilgrimage of a whole village to the Temple Jugangu to obtain a fertile year, a View of a Pagan Temple, 2 engravings of characters and street scenes in early 18th century China on one print including A Chinese Prostitute, riding in Publick, with a Man going before, who makes known her price., size 36 by 24 cm. and others including two French engravings of China circa 1785 by De Guignes, A tomb, with a view including figures, and a plan, & Tents and Palanquins, plus scene of farmers at work in the fields. De Guiges appears to have been French ambassador in Beijing from 1784.
