Fishing sounds pretty good. We were with the Clyde Beatty circus…On location a minor tornado hit us and watching tents, trunks and midgets fly through the air is really something…after having a paid vacation…this Thomas jerk, a columnist, asks me my opinion of Hollywood…I said it too hot for me…and out of same comes a red hot blast at movieburg. This crum made up more fairy tales than Bob Harrison in Confidental (sic)…The only one with sense enough to check on the thing was Hedda…Jack Warner got upset, Bob Fellows nervous and a bunch more mad…The reason I don’t claim authorship but stick to being a writer is because I’ve never been anything more than a police reporter who happened to hit it…We shot an NBC special up here in the apartment…on Communism featuring my old book, One Lonely Night….I did What’s My Line as the mystery guest with Soupy Sales finally getting me at the last second…I was back in the blue in the –P51, tearing up the sky like in the old days…I was like playing Dawn Patrol…I’m one of five ferrying resurrected Mustangs to Guatamala…I’ll be in New York for a day or two…if you like I’ll buzz you through the blue a bit…let’s hear from you, Love, Mickey.” Lot Amendments Condition: Original folds to letters, one with mild edge wear, else near fine to fine; other items fine.
