Specimens of the Table Talk..., 2 vol., first edition, half-titles, lithographed portrait and view of Coleridge's study as frontispieces, both on india paper and mounted, 4pp. catalogue at end of vol.2, faint ink signature to head of titles, contemporary calf, gilt, by M.Ogle & Co., spines gilt with red and green labels, small nick to head of spines, 1835, large 8vo & 12mo (3) ⁂ The first was a celebrated literary hoax published in 1777 and written by the young Chatterton, who later committed suicide aged seventeen. This edition was the first to contain Coleridge's Monody on the Death of Chatterton, his second appearance in print. Roger Ingpen (1869-1936), literary editor and author of Shelley in England, 1917.
