Coffee House at Jerusalem and The Holy Rock, Jerusalem, two plates by M. and N. Hanhart after Carl Werner chromolithographs on paper [London, Moore McQueen & Co. Limited, 1865-66] 2 loose chromolithographic plates, both mounted on card (as issued), Coffee House at Jerusalem with original printed paper label pasted to reverse, pencil inscriptions of the artist's name and the plate names below each of the images, both slightly cockled with light surface soiling, each c. 495 by 650 mm. These two plates were printed from original drawings by Carl Friedrich Heinrich Werner (1808-1843), and appeared in the first edition printed edition of his works entitled Jerusalem, Bethlehem, and the Holy Places, printed in London, with text by Rev. G.R. Gleig.
