Beschreibung:

Lot of 7 cased images, including: Sixth plate daguerreotype of a mustached soldier wearing a cap and early, interesting Civil War coat, possibly mounted services. Scratch in plate, image is a bit faint, but details still visible. Housed in half case. Five tintypes, four of which are sixth plate tintypes of soldiers. Subjects include a rosy-cheeked soldier wearing a kepi and US belt buckle, displaying a European rifle musket, housed in full geometric thermoplastic case; octagonal portrait of a solder seated in a studio setting with backdrop depicting lines of tents. The soldier holds a British Enfield rifle in his right hand, and his full dress Hardee hat rests on the table to his left. Housed in full geometric octagonal thermoplastic case; loose tintype showing young soldier seated with what appears to be an Enfield rifle in his right hand and a knife/dagger tucked in his belt (some surface scratches on plate where mat would have been); and loose tintype with mat depicting a young soldier in full uniform, wearing a forage cap with branch unit and regimental numerals and US belt buckle. A bayonet handle can be seen tucked into the soldier's belt. Crackle like effect in surface of tintype. Accompanied by extremely clear ninth plate tintype of a handsome soldier, his cheeks lightly tinted pink, housed in full case. Uncased ninth plate ruby ambrotype of a mustached soldier wearing a very interesting forage cap with patch, possibly private purchase. Some discoloration in plate and small scratches.
