Autograph note signed ("C.W. McDaniel") granting Quimby to take "photographs in the Division." N.p., 12 March 1863. 7 3/4 x 6 in. (splits at folds). Dated just a month after Quimby's discharge. -- Partly printed Guards and Picket Pass for Quimby. Fort Albany, VA: 13 Aug. 1864. 5 3/4 x 3 3/4 in. -- Partly printed Pass for "Frank J. Quimby Photographer" to Varina Landing & Headquarters. N.p., 10 Feb. 1865. 4 x 3 3/4 in. -- With 2 additional partly printed passes for unidentified people. Together, 5 documents, brown spots and toning, 4 affixed to frame glass, framed together in 2-sided frame, 12 1/4 x 14 1/4 in. Frank J. Quimby from Columbia County, Pennsylvania enlisted on 4/22/1861 as a private and was mustered in the same day into Co. A of the 25th Pennsylvania Infantry. He was discharged for disability on 2/5/1863. We were not able to find any of Quimby's photographs or information regarding his photography, Provenance:The Civil War Collection of Dennis C. Schurr
