circa 1735-38 each piece finely fluted around the lower part, the flutes picked out alternately in 'Böttger Lustre' and gold, painted by Christian Friedrich Herold with very detailed groupings of chinoiserie figures at a variety of pursuits, the figures placed in continuous bands around the borders of the cups and bowls and within red circular panels in the interiors of the cups, larger figure groups on both sides of the coffee pot and milk jug, the interior of the large bowl and the saucers each with a quatrelobed panel framed with Laub-und-Bandelwerk in gold, purple and Böttger Lustre, the rims also with intricate gold formal borders, comprising: a coffee pot and cover (fine hairline in handle), a milk jug and cover (handle restuck, filled chip and crack in the rim and chip to the lip), a sucrier and cover, a slop bowl and six teacups and saucers (chip to one saucer), crossed swords marks in blue, each piece with gilt numeral 45.
