FIRST EDITION, fourth impression. PRESENTATION COPY, inscribed on the half-title: "from Winston S. Churchill, 12 July 1933." Woods A39(a). [ Tipped In :] CHURCHILL. Typed letter signed ("Winston S. Churchill"), to Lady Tubbs, Chartwell, Kent, 11 July 1933. 1 page, 8vo, Chartwell stationery, with 3-line holograph postscript, laid down on leaf facing half-title . Thanks for "two photographs which are very good," and presenting her "with a copy of my latest book 'Thoughts and Adventures.'" In his postscript, Churchill writes "It was vy pleasant indeed to find yr delightful hospitality at the end of a tiring day."
