Although the photograph is undated, this group corresponds with the contingent Churchill brought with him to the secret Acadia Conference with FDR in August 1941. Churchill in uniform sits, front and center, holding a cigar, flanked by C. P. Dill and Sir Alexander Cadogan on his left, Adm. Dudley Pound and Air Marshal Wilfred Freeman are to his right. Standing behind him are Adm. C. R. Thompson Lord Cherwell, and J. M. Martin.
