CHURCHILL PROVIDES A CERTIFICATE OF NATURALIZATION TO AN ALIEN . “Chamia Natan Makawski known as Nathan Marks, 178 Bury New Road, Manchester has presented to me, the Right Honourable Winston Leonard Spencer-Churchill, one of His Majesty’s Principal Secretaries of State, a Memorial, praying for a Certificate of Naturalization, and alleging that he is a Subject of Russia having been born at Yzhica, Poland on the 27th July 1887 and is the son of Shumal Arya and Serka Makawski, naturalized British subject.” The form further notes that Makawski is “a cap maker—is unmarried.
