Pease, [cover-title], circa 1850s, eight leaves printed on one side only, each with hand-coloured engravings, some spotting and finger-soiling, second leaf with ex libris ink stamp as above, original printed wrappers, slightly marked, spine splitting, 8vo, plus Grandpapa Pease's Cinderella, or The Little Glass Slipper, Albany: Richard H. Pease, [cover-title], circa 1850s, eight leaves as above, some spotting and finger-soiling, second leaf with ex libris ink stamp as above, original printed wrappers, slightly marked, spine splitting, 8vo Dean published his series of 'Grandmamma Easy's Pictorial Coloured Toy Books' in the 1840s. American publishers quickly took up the idea, some like Richard Pease producing their own stories in a similar format. All of these publications, with their potentially fragile wrappers, are scarce.
