Chateau Leoville Barton 1982 Chateau Leoville Barton 1982 St. Julien, 2eme Cru Classe Lot 22: u. 1bn, 2 labels very lightly stained, 1 has a small nick and all slightly wrinkled but good for age, capsules slightly worn by dividers Lot 23: u. 1bn, labels slightly wrinkled, 1 nicked in bottom right corner otherwise very good appearance, capsules slightly worn by dividers Young colour. Classic St Julien nose. Cherries and blackberries. Very tannic. Dense. Ripe. Not ultimate class, but very good. At a London dinner party recently, it was luscious and fruity - one of my best bottles. But it was beautifully decanted two hours in advance of our attack on it.
