folding engraved plate and 2 portraits, A1 wood-engraved royal coat of arms, 1 portrait torn along lower edge, Q3 small tear in lower margin, Q4 small paper flaw in lower margin, some slight damp-staining to a few corners, margins slightly browned, early ink ownership inscription on front free endpaper: “Frances Burwell given by my Deare freinde Mrs Carlile:- from me to my Deare Henry Cottrell”, bookticket of Abel E. Berland on front pastedown, ink stamp “M” enclosed within a circle and surmounted by a coronet on front free endpaper and front fly-leaf, remains of a manuscript on vellum used as binding, handsomely bound in contemporary black morocco, gilt corner ornaments within a gilt double rule border, corners a little bumped, joints and edges slightly rubbed, spine with sixteen gilt double ruled compartments, remains of a paper label at tail of spine, g.e., housed in a modern cloth box, [Madan, Eikon Basilike 25; Wing E307], 8vo, [London], 1649.
