Provenance : John Savile (1546-1607, judge, brother of Henry Savile, signature on front pastedown) -- Francis Ferrand Foljambe (stamp on additional title). First edition. Almack 61; Madan 65; Wing C-2075. Together with John Gay's Fables (London, 1727), first series only, Herbert of Cherbury's Life (London, 1770), John Howard's The State of Prisons in England and Wales (Warrington, 1784), third edition, and 4 other vols., all in contemporary bindings.
