The Life of Philip Melancthon, comprising an account of the most important transactions of the Reformation, 2nd edition, 1817, engraved portrait frontispiece (offset to title), some light spotting, bookplate, contemporary calf gilt, covers with interesting geometric design in blind and gilt, 8vo, plus Alison (Archibald). History of Europe from the commencement of the French Revolution in MDCCLXXXIX to the restoration of the Bourbons in MDCCCXV, 13 volumes including index, 9th edition, 1853-56, engraved plates, text in double column, some light spotting and small stains, previous owner signature, contemporary half calf, spines with red and green labels and gilt decoration, a little rubbed, 8vo, with others leatherbound including G.N.
