A braided lock of hair tied together with a small ribbon is also attached to the silk lining, and is identified as Her mother's hair. While the second daguerreotype is housed in a full, pressed-paper case, the remaining two portraits are matted under glass, but are uncased. Half plate image that appears to be an ambrotype, housed under a decorative mat with gold detail, and sealed on back, making it difficult to confirm that this is indeed an ambrotype.
