Near uniform contemporary green morocco gilt, covers with arms of Madame Marie-Louise-Thérèse-Victoire de France [Olivier 2514, fer 5], gilt-tooled spines with repeated fleuron, marbled endpapers, gilt edges (overall fading to near brown). Provenance : 'Ce livre m'a été donné par Madame Victoire le 11 Janvier 1768 Le Grin 23 vol.' (inscription in vol. I). Mixed edition. Vol. XIV is differently labelled and tooled. Madame Victoire (1733-1799), seventh child of Louis XV and Marie Leczinska, used green morocco to distinguish her books from those of her sisters, Madame Adélaïde and Madame Sophie. Mixed edition, vols. I-VI without place. Two vols. are described as volume VI on the title-page but have differing texts. The one unnumbered vol. of 'pièces justicatives' relates to vol. VI.
