Leather rubbed away at corners, some paste residue to cloth, tape repair to front pastedown, interior fine. Bert Livermore, a shoe store clerk from Newark Valley, NY, made deer hunting trips to Canada each year with a group of friends. Here he lists names and addresses of the hunting party and a table with each year's bag. He provides a brief account for each day's activities, notes on transportation to and from the camp, anecdotes, some expense accounting, and camp life. In 1897: "A. E. Bradstreet shot a fine doe, 2-year old in narrows from upper pine near Burnt lake. Called for me to dress it"; in 1898: "I went with Mr. Miller North East of camp to a new watch & shot the first deer of the season at 8:30 & a fawn on same morning about 9:30"; in 1900: "Weather very warm, went bathing in lake today.
