Carte 103, (di 104, manca frontespizio calcografico, sostituito con quello tratto dalla Centuria Quarta ). Illustrazioni incise su rame nel testo, capilettera xilografici. Frontespizio restaurato, bruniture, arrossature. Legatura coeva in pelle, titoli in nero su tassello al dorso a 4 nervi, tagli rossi, leggere abrasioni. Scheda bibliografica dattiloscritta conservata nel volume, al dorso etichetta con segnatura manoscritta. Esemplare della Centuria tertia , in cui solo il frontespizio è pertinente alla Centuria Quarta , di questa famosa opera del botanico di Norimberga Joachim Camerarius, apparsa a stampa per la prima volta a cura del figlio dell'Autore, Ludwig, tra il 1590 e il 1605. Strutturata in quattro parti, l'opera costituisce il primo esempio di trattazione di argomento naturalistico in forma di libro di emblemi. Le incisioni calcografiche sono di mano di Nicolas Pecoul. Copy of the Centuria tertia , in which only the title page is relevant to the Centuria Quarta , of this famous work by the botanist from Nuremberg Joachim Camerarius, appeared for the first time edited by the son of the Author, Ludwig, between 1590 and 1605. Divided into four parts, the work constitutes the first example of naturalistic topic writing in form of emblems book. The engravings are made by Nicolas Pecoul.
