Beschreibung:

Beginning manufacture in 1935, the VIS-wz.35 pistols manufactured at FB Radom served as the standard sidearm of the Polish military until Poland's defeat and subsequent occupation by Germany in 1939. Of the 90,000 wz.35 pistols ordered by the Polish military, only 49,000 were delivered prior to German occupation. This example was manufactured in 1939, likely just shortly before occupation. The left side of the slide is stamped "F.B. RADOM/ 1939r" followed by the Polish Eagle coat of arms and "VIS-wz.35/ pat Nr 15567". A small Polish Eagle proof is visible just ahead of the hammer drop catch, with other small Polish proofs visible on the frame and barrel. Left grip panel is marked "FB", with the right marked "VIS". Bottom of magazine bears an "(Eagle) / 189" waffenamt. Features include a blue finish, 4 - 5/8" barrel, fixed sights, slotted frame, as well as 2-piece black checkered grips. Matching numbers are present on the frame, slide, and barrel. Pistol is accompanied by a reproduction leather holster. CONDITION: Very good, with metal components retaining the majority of their original Polish arsenal blue finish, exhibiting some high edge wear, moderate overall wear from use, as well as some light surface oxidation overall. Bore is bright, exhibiting some spots of oxidation and good rifling throughout. Grips show a few scattered handling marks overall but are otherwise fine. Holster is excellent. A very nice example of a highly desirable and seldom encountered Polish pre-War Vis-wz.35 semi-automatic pistol. MLW Name Value Accessories Holster Barrel Length 4 - 5/8" Caliber/Bore 9mm Para FFL Status Curio & Relic Manufacturer Radom Model Vis-35 Paperwork Serial Number 35417
