Beschreibung:

Featured on page 286 of Jan C. Still's book "Weimar and Early Nazi Lugers and Their Accessories", this is one of the most desirable and rarest Stoeger lugers to come to market in many years. It has all of the features that are listed on page 248 of the book "Lugers at Random" by Charles Kenyon, Jr. Except the "SAFE" above the thumb safety. It also comes with an authentication letter written by Mr. Robert C. Simpson of Simpson LTD. of Galesburg, Illinois. So this is a very well-documented and historical Luger that would be the centerpiece of any Luger collection. There are five Oberndorf proofs; one on the bottom of the barrel, one on the left side of the receiver, one on the left side of the breach block, one on the front sight block, and one on the rear of the rear toggle link. The thumb safety is marked "GESICHERT" in the upper position. The extractor is marked "LOADED". There is an American Eagle shield above the chamber and "DWM" in scroll on the front toggle link. Inverted V front sight and a 9-position V-notch rear sight. Checkered 2-piece wood grips and an un-numbered wood bottom nickel-plated box magazine. There is a full serial number on the front of the frame and on the underside of the barrel. The last two numbers of the serial number are on the side plate, trigger, and takedown lever. The GERMANY export mark and the 3-line Stoeger address are on the right side of the gun. CONDITION: Gun retains virtually all of the original factory applied blue finish with just a bit of wear at the high points. Straw small parts are strong. Checkering on the grip panels is sharp and crisp. The left grip has a small repair under the thumb safety. Bright and shiny bore with sharp lands and grooves. REW Name Value Accessories Book - "Weimar and Early Nazi Lugers" Barrel Length 8" Caliber/Bore 9mm FFL Status Curio & Relic Manufacturer A.F. Stoeger Model Artillery Luger Paperwork Simpson LTD. Letter & Book Serial Number 712v
