Beschreibung:

Erfurt P.08 reworked after the conclusion of World War I. The receiver is stamped "1918" over the chamber with arsenal proofs on the right side. Imperial German Reichsadler is present on the right side of the receiver and on the left side of the breechblock. Bottom of barrel bears a Weimar era eagle proof. All numbers are matching from the time of arsenal refurbishment, with the exception of the firing pin, extractor, and magazine, which are unnumbered. Sear safety mechanism is present. Stock lug has been ground off. Front grip strap is police unit marked "S.W.II.177", indicating issue to the Schutzpolizei, Wiesbaden, Unit II, rack number 177. Complete with blued unmarked magazine with a black plastic bottom. CONDITION: Metal components retain the majority of their arsenal reapplied blue finish, exhibiting some areas of wear and thinning that show through to brown patina. Rear of frame shows some silvering from operation of the action. Bore is bright, exhibiting some small spots of very light oxidation, but otherwise retaining good rifling throughout. Grips show smoothing and a few minor impressions but are otherwise sturdy and serviceable. A nice example of a World War I reworked Luger that found use amongst Germany's police force after the conclusion of the Great War.
