Eddystone Model 1917 bolt action rifle. Made June-July of 1918 with proper Eddystone "E/6-18" marked barrel. Stock, hand guard retainer, front sight, stacking swivel, sling swivel, bolt release, safety, firing pin, bolt, rear sight and rear sling swivel are all stamped "E" for Eddystone. Stock has no cartouches or inspector stamps. Standard front sight post and adjustable ladder rear. Original blued finish has turned to a nice patina in most areas. Oil finished wood stock with correct finger grooves and stock bolt. Smooth steel butt plate with trapdoor. CONDITION: Metal retains 50% of its original finish with general wear and patina. Wood is very good with scratches, dents and handling marks. Bore is clean with sharp rifling left. Mechanically fine.
