Built by Carson/Bassett-Lowke, circa 1910 finished in correct Great Western livery of the period, this model is one of a small series built between 1910-12 in several gauges, several of this series were spirit fired, coal firing being an expensive option at the time. The locomotive is coal fired and incorporates four working cylinders, with full scale backhead which in many cases can be removed to reveal a working one, working safety valves located in traditional Great Western brass bell housing. Correct inside framed eight-wheel tender incorporating a large water reservoir and hand pump, tool boxes, sprung buffers, 53 1/2in (136cm) long.
