Buddha Shakyamuni in Löwenpose. Große, alte Statue. Buddha Shakyamuni in Löwenpose. Große, alte Statue. Thailand. Vergoldete Holzskulptur. L. ca. 125 cm, H. ca. 35 cm. Aus Hamburger Privatsammlung. In den 1970er Jahren vor Ort erworben. Herkunftsnachweis beiliegend. Imposante Darstellung Buddha Shakyamunis beim Eintritt in das maha-pari-nirvana. Seitlich in der berühmten Löwenpose liegend. Kopfschmuck sowie mehrteilige, verzierte Gewänder eines buddhistischen Mönchs tragen. Altersspuren, Fuß u.a. geklebt, Holz brüchig. Buddha Shakyamuni in lion posture. Large, old statue Thai sculpture. Gilded wood. L. around 125 cm (49.2"), H. around 35 cm (13.8"). From Hamburg private collection. Acquired in the 1970s. Impressive depiction of Buddha Shakyamuni in the famous lion posture as he the passes away and achieves maha-pari-nirvana. Wearing a headdress as well the adorned, multi-part robe of a Buddhist monk. Signs of age. Wood fragile. Small restorations (et al foot glued).
