Title within decorative surround printed in light blue and gilt, 3 section titles printed in light blue and gilt, most text leaves within decorative light blue border. 24 mounted colored plates, each within a blue and gilt border, 3 uncolored illustrations, all after Brunelleschi. Contemporary green half morocco gilt by Canapé, the flat spine divided into three unequal compartments, lettered in gilt in the second, the second and third with gilt tooling and multi-colored onlays of morocco to an overall arabesque design, original thin card upper and lower wrappers bound in, top edge gilt. Provenance : A. & R. le conte Boudeville (bookplate). LIMITED EDITION OF 500 COPIES ON "PAPIER DU JAPON" with the stamped signature of the artist, this number 188. Like his contemporary George Barbier, Brunelleschi's evocative work seems to capture the spirit of early 20th-century Paris.
