Beschreibung:

BROOKLYN DODGERS Baseball signed by twenty-two Brooklyn Dodgers . The player signatures include Carl Erskine, Roy Campanella, Gil Hodges, Erv Pelica, Ralph Branca, Jackie Robinson, Bruce Edwards, Don Newcombe, Carl Furillo, Preacher Roe, Cal Abrams, Don Thompson, Hank Edwards, Clyde King, Bill Cox, Dan Bankhead, Rocky Bridges, Joe Hatte, Phil Haugstad, Gene Hermanski, and one unidentifiable name. The sweet spot is signed by the 1950 manager Chuck Dresser. The majority of the signatures, including Jackie Robinson and Roy Campanella, are legitimate. A few of the lesser names are probably "clubhouse signatures," i.e. signed by clubhouse workers in lieu of the players. The signatures are generally clear and unrubbed; the surface has some minor toning. The ball bears the stamp of the Brooklyn Amateur Baseball Foundation, a tutorial league founded in 1953 by the Dodgers' President Walter O'Malley.
