Bristol.- South West.- Jackson (Samuel, 1794-1869) Clevedon from Sir Abraham Elton's Hill, watercolour, point of the brush, graphite underdrawing, inscribed, signed, and dated '1823' verso, sheet 164 x 275 mm. (6 1/2 x 10 3/4 in), tipped at upper corners onto mount, surface dirt and exposure lines with some fading to pigments, unframed, 1823; together with 5 views of Weymouth by M.E. Medleycott (active 1880), watercolours with pen and ink, all signed with initials M.E.M, several dated, each approx 335 x 235 mm. (13 1/4 x 9 1/4 in), or the reverse, some damp issues with surface dirt and spotting, all tipped onto thin paper support, unframed; and a further group of ten others, including a particularly damp-damaged watercolour by Bristol-based artist William James Müller all unframed (16).
