Place: New York Publisher: Frank Shay Date: 1916 Description: 67 total pp. Also, "The Game" by Louise Bryant and "King Arthur's Socks" by Floyd Dell. 8x5¼, original printed blue wrappers with woodcut design on front cover, housed in a period quarter cloth and paper covered boards clamshell box with gilt-lettered morocco spine label. First Edition. Inscribed and signed by the publisher in the year of publication: "To William F. Gable from his friend, Frank Shay, Nov. [19]16." Gable (1856-1921), a Walt Whitman scholar and contributing author to several works on Whitman. This is the first appearance of O'Neill's second published play. Lot Amendments Condition: Overall clean and bright. Spine and margins a bit sunned, a few light creases, repaired splits to joints, small rubs; very good or better. Item number: 177203
