Ford, proprietor of Ford's Theatre (where the Lincoln assassination took place), the book compiled between 1867 and 1874. 8vo, original gilt-stamped morocco, worn, pages loose , containing 34 inscriptions, signatures and/or letters tipped in, including EDWIN BOOTH (4 lines verse, dated 1867), CHARLES DICKENS (signature, dated Baltimore, 28 January 1868), Gen. P.G.T. BEAUREGARD, Joseph Jefferson Wilkie Collins (closing of an ALS), W.C. Macready, William Warren Barry Sullivan, Edwin Forrest and others; [ With :] Another autograph book compiled by Elizabeth (Lizzie) Ford (1859-1929) Ford's fourth child, between 1887 and 1924. oblong 8vo, original red velvet, worn, pages loose , containing 39 signatures and inscriptions including JOHN T.
