Collection of approximately 140 bookplates of various periods and sizes, some duplicates, mostly loose but a few mounted in an album with stamp hinges, together with 50 booksellers' tickets almost all Washington, DC, and a small quantity of printed ephemera of bibliophile interest. Bookplates include: George J. Gould, Georgian Court, probably by E.D. French (5 copies); Henry C. Bernheim, 1904, by the same; Edwin B. Holden, 1894, by the same; Adrian Hoffman Joline by J.W. Spenceley, 1906; Mrs John V.L. Pruyn by Hollyer, 1907; 2 for Boston Medical Library by Sidney L. Smith (2 of each); Treadwell Library (2 versions); Margaret and Ralph Pulitzer by Rockwell Kent; Yale University Press Editorial Copy; W. Lloyd Wright by Lankes, 1932; Force's Juvenile Circulating Library; Caole & Co's. Circulating Library; wreath and ribbon armorial for Philip Richard Fendall of Alexandria, VA (2 copies); W.H. Shir-Cliff by Louis John Rhead 1897; John B. Larner by Gregory, 1896; wreath and ribbon armorial for John Lenthall by James Thackara of Philadelphia; Calvin Coolidge by Timothy Cole; Isaac Adams by Henry Mitchell, 1877; several for Dorothy Furman; a number of typographic labels mostly for Washington, DC citizens (Edward de Krafft, Washington City, January 31st, 1807; John P. Stallings; Joseph Knowles Bridge; Mrs. J.E. Packard; Addie Lloyd; Benjamin S. Bohrer M.D.; Philip B. Key; Wm. Richardson Green). Ephemera includes: partially printed invitation from Mr J. Madison, 1809, accomplished in manuscript; several other invitations made out to Mr or Mrs Madison; license to keep a dog, signed by Peter Force, Mayor of Washington, DC; 3 printed subscription receipts for the Library Company of Philadelphia dated 1779, 1779, and 1804, the first two probably printed by Franklin's partner David Hall; a handful of booksellers' trade cards or advertisements.
