Date: 1863 Description: Lithograph stock in the city of San Francisco. Archivally matted and framed. Visible stock document measures 210½x15½. With frame measures 32½x26. A $1000 bond certificate for the city of San Francisco. Coupons attached for payments to be paid between April 1864 and October 1883. Each coupon was signed by then Mayor Henry P. Coon, then a hand-written note across center reads "This Bond surrendered by the Commissioners of the Funded Debt of 1851 and canceled September 19, 1871 by Thos H. Selby, Mayor." Selby was the Mayor of San Francisco at the time, and canceled the remaining bond coupons. The unredeemed coupons have black lines canceling them out. Lot Amendments Condition: Light wear; the redeemed coupons have been cut from document, and re-backed with later paper to be attached to main document; very good. Frame fine. Item number: 231146
