BÖMMEL, Wolfgang Hieronymus von (1667-) Ne ersonnene Gold-Schmeids Grillen, Joh. Chr. Weigel, Nürnburg. (Katalog der Ornamentstichsammlung, Berlin, 1939, no. 696 (1)) the complete set of six engraved caprices, circa 1695, on fine laid paper with a caduceus watermark, with wide margins, some creasing at the left edge, otherwise in generally good condition, in a modern quarter-morocco binding, together with a set of twelve etched grotesques by an anonymous hand after Denis Boutemie , (see Katalog der Ornamentstichsammlung, Berlin, 1939, no. 4322) the plates mounted together as pairs, trimmed close to the engraved borders (lacking the blank tablet below), fine impressions of this extremely rare set. Also included is a small pen and ink drawing of a set of bellows in the style of Boutemie.
