Hans Schmoller (1916-1985) was Head of Typography and Design at Penguin Books from 1949 to 1976, after managing the bindery at the Curwen Press. Nicknamed 'Half-Point Schmoller' for his attention to detail, he married Tatayana (Tanya) Kent in 1950.
