Collation: a-t 8 u 1 0 (a1r title, a1v table, a6r Genealogia , p4v table, r4v De montibus , u10r colophon, register and printer's device, u10v blank). 162 leaves, foliated. 63 lines and headline. Types: 6:105R, 5:80 R (text); 2:130G, 4:92G, 7:82G, 1:74G, 3:62G * (diagrams). 4- and 12-line white-on-black woodcut initials, a few initial spaces with printed guide letters. 13 full-page woodcut genealogical diagrams. Printer's woodcut device A (Kristeller 181). (Title-leaf torn away and restored at upper fore-corner with loss to a few words of table on verso, a8 stained). 17th-century English blind-panelled calf, edges red-speckled (discreetly rebacked, some minor wear). Provenance : Laurentius(?) Catelyn of Queens College [Cambridge or Oxford] (inscription on front flyleaf E libris Lau: Catelyn Coll. Reginallis with price). Third combined edition of Boccaccio's compendium of mythology and his geographical dictionary. The great majority of the books printed by Bonetus Locatellus, a priest from Bergamo, were done so for the publisher Octavianus Scotus; they formed one of the most important partnerships in the Venetian printing industry during the last 20 years of the 15th century.
