Uncut, letterpress titles to 'A Brief History' (with vertical crease) and 'Picturesque Scenery in the Kingdom of Mysore', uncoloured engraved general title, engraved title to '24 Views in Hindoostan', hand-coloured stipple engraved plate of the Native Judges and portrait of Tippoo Sultan, 64 FINE HAND-COLOURED AQUATINT VIEWS (occasional light spotting, some slight soiling to outer blank margins, one plate with vertical crease). Original boards, upper cover with letterpress title label, modern cloth box (neatly rebacked, later free endpapers). Provenance : Gredington Library (inscription, dated 1811). FIRST EDITION. A FINE COPY. This work was originally issued in 17 parts, then on completion of the parts issue was offered either in 2 volumes at 10 guineas per volume, or, as here, in a single volume at 20 guineas.
