Contemporary vellum gilt, g.e. (spine torn, lightly soiled, bowed, remains of green ties). Volume IV from Bleau's Theatrum , on England and Wales. The county maps in this attractive atlas set a standard of engraving and cartographical design that was not surpassed by any English mapmaker until the work of Cary and Greenwood in the early 19th century.
