And 4 others. covers with double fillet and geometric roll-borders framing a semis of fleurs-de-lis, spine in seven compartments, the second gilt lettered, the remainder repeating the cover decor, g.e., comb-marbled pastedown endpaper (joints and extremities rubbed); slipcase. Provenance : "D. Gulielmus Ducie Balnei Egnes..." (17th-century inscription); C.W.H. Sotheby (bookplate). Third Estienne octavo Latin Bible and the first to divide the text into numbered verses.
