Bianchina Panoramica Jolly “Rosina” 1969 VIN No. 120B57140 Engine Type: 120-000 0427117 - Registered in 1969, this Bianchina Panoramica was converted in the 1970s in the Brindisi area by a coachbuilder and craftsman. Open bodywork, duly entered in the logbook and in the CRS (Certificate of Historical Relevance) certification, then re-registered in 2020 by the current owner who has owned it for several years and was involved in the restoration. Transformed into a Jolly starting from a last series Panoramica, the model’s last year of production. - Bodywork restored and repainted about 4 years ago in an unmistakable two-tone white and pink, hence the name Rosina. Interior made of wicker braiding, as is traditional, and not the cheaper wicker, produced by a skilled Roman craftsman who restored antique furniture for the Quirinale (Italian President’s place of residence) in his workshop in San Giovanni. The interior was completed with white and blue cushions, echoing the awning, all made of Tempotest to resist the sun and weather. The Cordura carpets and wicker under-dash shelf complete the finish of the cockpit, which offers a refined atmosphere of a small 1960s boat. - Mechanics completely overhauled, and the engine has since covered about 1,000 km and undergone some preparation to ensure a greater brio and more agile uphill, very useful when “running” in 4 for the streets of the most beautiful seaside resorts in the open air. Overhauled braking system, car in running order and ready to use. New tyres with white band. Valid MOT. - The history of the Bianchina Jolly Ghia shows only very few examples, even rarer are those based on the Panoramica version. This configuration was built by Ghia, in the early 1960s, with only 6 units on order. Customers included the Berlinguer family, the Visconti family and Onassis. Alongside the original models, in the 1960s and 1970s many coachbuilders made their own sea version of the little Autobianchi and this vehicle is one of those transformed over 50 years ago and regularly registered as an open body. A car that makes you feel on holiday just by looking at it parked in the garage.
