BERTHOUD. A FINE AND RARE 18K PINK GOLD SKELETONISED OPENFACE QUARTER REPEATING KEYWOUND VERGE WATCH WITH THREE JACQUEMARTS SIGNED BERTHOUD, NO. 13331, CIRCA 1820 Full plate gilt-finished movement, engraved and pierced balance cock, three-arm brass balance, gilt cuvette, skeletonized dial centred by a small enamel chapter ring with Arabic numerals, blued steel moon-style hands, the skeletonized surround surmounted by a vari-coloured gilt scene depicting two standing figures striking the bells and one small scene depicting a smith forging a bar on an anvil, all apparently in unison with the repeating, circular engine-turned case, back centred by a small circular blank cartouche, repeating through the pendant, pendant locking lever in the band, cuvette signed, case stamped QPG 56 mm. diam.
