I, titles in red and black, 91 engraved geometrical plates, 87 folding, woodcut devices and initials. (Lacking the two portraits as often, browning and dust soiling occasionally affecting plates, vols II and III with stitching broken, vol. III with text misregistered to first few leaves, index of vol. III affected by rebacking.) Original boards, uncut (crudely rebacked in cloth, worn). Provenance : Michael Fuyer Reeth (ownership inscription) -- Harry Arnold (book label to vol. II) -- Turner Collection presented to the University of Keele, 1968 (book plate).
