Beschreibung:

The MG-13 was brought into German service in 1930 and was the standard German infantry light machine gun until it was soon replaced by the MG-34. Many MG-13s were sold to Spain and Portugal, while those remaining were issued to Germany's second line troops in World War II. This MG-13 was manufactured by Berlin-Suhler Waffenwerke under contract for Portugal. Right side of the receiver is marked with the Portuguese crest above "1938". The rear of the receiver is marked with a partially obliterated "337". Waffenamt "WaA4" found around receiver. Receiver was at one point cut, and has been welded back together in multiple areas. Magazine was manufactured in 1938 by BSW. Complete with bipod and wood grips. CONDITION: Metal components retain majority of reapplied black finish with areas of minor wear. Leather on stock and wood grips show handling marks and areas of wear. Overall, a fine example of a Portuguese contract MG-13 that is sure to be a welcome addition to any collector's display. MW Name Value Accessories Paperwork
