Original dark green cloth backed in lighter green (almost all of the spine torn away with loss of all but the first two words of the title, inner hinges weak). Provenance : “Presentation Copy” (blindstamp on title); pencil annotation to front and rear endpapers ?in part by Beerbohm, although a loosely-inserted autograph slip suggests “Handwriting of J. C.
