Beerbohm (Max) Aubrey Beardsley, portrait of the artist shown full length with arms by his side, black chalk and gouache on buff paper, signed in the upper right quadrant, inscribed Aubrey Beardsley centre left, sheet 310 x 190 mm. ( 12 1/4 x 7 1/2 in), two further pencil studies of two heads verso, the sheet some sun exposure lines with toning to sheet, some rubbing, minor surface dirt, unframed, [1894]; sold with a copy of Hart-Davis's 1972 catalogue which features the drawing, and a copy of Walker's 'A Beardsley Miscellany' with frontispiece illustrating the portrait (3) Provenance: The artist; Anonymous sale; G.F.
